It can be operated with very low light intensity coupled through an optical fiber. The optical elements and electronics are housed in a compact and thermally insulated casing.
Power supply and data readout are accomplished with a PC via a USB interface. The wavelength meter is ready for use as soon as the software delivered with the device is installed.
The flexible design of our wavelength meters allows the integration of additional optical components and software modules. This way customization is enabled for your specific application requirements.
The implemented API allows the integration of the wavelength meter into more complex optical systems for fully automated measurements.
The optical instrument is connected to the PC for fast data acquisition, wavelength monitoring and laser frequency control.
The model number of the wavelength meter indicates the relative frequency accuracy of the respective instrument – WS8 instruments have a relative accuracy on the order of 10−8, WS5 instruments a relative accuracy on the order of 10−5.
